Unlike the other tools in this suite, AI upscaling needs real model compute and runs on the server — your photo is sent to our AI provider. The original is removed from our server after processing. Results expire after five minutes and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Provider retention follows its own policy. Each image can be up to 12 MB. Signed-in accounts can submit up to 100 MB per day, with a 1 GB daily network safety cap. All other image tools run in your browser and have no server upload quota.
AI Upscale enlarges photographs at two or four times their original dimensions while attempting to reconstruct edges and texture. Unlike the local browser tools, this feature sends selected files to a hosted model and therefore requires sign-in, daily usage controls and provider processing. Source files are deleted after processing and cached results have a short download window.
Common tasks: upscale image, enhance photo quality, increase image resolution, 2x image upscaler, 4x image upscaler.
Use the smallest scale that meets the final requirement. A 2x result usually needs less processing and may look more natural than 4x enlargement. Submit clear originals rather than screenshots of compressed previews. Multiple selections are processed sequentially and gathered for download, so a large batch can take time and consumes the account allowance for each uploaded file.
Generated detail is an estimate, not recovered evidence. Inspect faces, lettering, logos, repeating patterns and product edges carefully because models can invent plausible but incorrect texture. Do not use an enhanced image where factual pixel accuracy is essential. For ordinary dimension changes that do not require reconstructed detail, Resize Image is faster, private to the browser and does not consume AI quota.
Yes. The browser-based tool is free to use and supports multiple file selection. AI Upscale is subject to signed-in usage allowances because it uses paid model compute.
